▪ A beautiful 18-hole golf course is just 20 minutes from the hotel, and golf-enthusiasts can arrange playing time through the hotel.

▪ The hotel organises tours such as hikes on the foothills of the Rincón De La Vieja volcano, Zip-lining tours and Hot Springs in the Rincón De La Vieja National Park and boat trips along the Corobici River. Rental of bicycles, snorkelling equipment, surf boards and kayaks is available and Horseback Riding can also be arranged through the hotel.

Thanks to the personal attention to guests and its exclusive location right on the beach in a quiet upscale neighbourhood, Hotel Capitan Suizo is one of the most requested beach hotels in Costa Rica. This is an ideal hotel for those who wish to be close to Tamarindo's many restaurants, bars and nightlife, but want to avoid the crowds that flock to the main beach strip along the town centre.

Tips: Most guests love the antics of the friendly troupe of monkeys and the family of raccoons that live on the hotel grounds. But please do keep in mind that these animals are not pets, and you should not try to feed or pet them.

Capitan Suizo

Hotel Capitán Suizo is located in Playa Tamarindo, one of the most beautiful Pacific Coast beaches in Costa Rica. It is directly on the beach just outside the town of Tamarindo at the end of the bay. Capitan Suizo is surrounded by lush a tropical garden that is home to a variety of small wildlife. The hotel maintains a discreet elegance and a touch of Swiss quality that blends with an informal and joyful atmosphere, making it an ideal oasis to rest and relax.

Rooms

▪ Capitan Suizo Rooms
There are 22 spacious rooms at Capitan Suizo, each with a terrace or balcony. The rooms on the first floor are air-conditioned, and on the second floor they are designed in such a way that A/C is not needed due to the cooling ocean breeze. The rooms all include one Queen-sized futon sofa bed. Each unit is equipped with a telephone, FM/AM radio, safety deposit box, a small refrigerator and a hair dryer.

▪ Capitan Suizo Bungalows
The 8 thatched-roof Bungalows are individually situated and are equipped with ceiling fans or A/C, comfortable Queen-sized bed and a Queen-sized futon sofa bed and have spacious bathrooms with bathtubs/showers and outside showers.

In keeping with the hotel's concept of creating a more natural and relaxed environment for its guests, Capitan Suizo does not offer in-room TVs or internet.

Fine Dining

The open-air beachfront 'a la carte' Restaurant at Capitan Suizo offers a fusion of international cuisine – with a Swiss accent – and tropical influence as well as hosting BBQs and private candle light dinners on the beach. A great deal of importance is given to fresh ingredients and cooking "a la minute".

Over the years, the restaurant has gained a distinct reputation in the region. On certain days of the week the restaurant offers live-entertainment with Marimba music and folkloric dance groups. The Bar has an informal, inviting ambiance and is situated underneath a thatched roof where guests can revel in the ocean view and breeze.
